In the wake of the Deepwater Horizon accident in the Gulf of Mexico, the offshore drilling safety industry and the government organizations that oversee it have undergone tremendous change.
In his latest podcast, Joe Perino discusses an important, recent update to the way that oil and gas companies will be sharing their safety data as it relates to offshore operations.
A recent meeting hosted by the SPE included a panel of members from key offshore safety organizations including BSEE, Center for Offshore Safety, and the US Dept. of Transportation.
This podcast, ‘Safety Data Sharing in Offshore Oil and Gas’, outlines some of the key changes in data sharing as well as some challenges that still lie ahead.
