Energy Prices Summary – Thursday, November 21, 2019
Crude Oil (CLF20): 58.58 (+1.57)
Natural Gas (NGZ19): 2.567 (+.008)
NY ULSD (HOZ19): 1.9447 (+.0526)
Gasoline (RBZ19): 1.7044 (+.0481)
Oil prices continued their absolute tear, rallying $4 from a low of $54.85 just two days ago. Yesterday’s impetus was a smaller than expected inventory build as reported in the weekly EIA statistics.
(Note the switch to January as the front month contract.)
The rally in oil seems to have helped natural gas pull out of its free-fall as well.
